Please use a parking lot even for a short period of time
The above examples mean “No Parking.” Please park your car at an official parking lot even for a short period of time.
It is also prohibited to park on the private land of individuals or companies, etc. without permission. Please park at a parking lot of a store or tourist spot you use or please use a toll parking lot in the vicinity.

If you receive a parking ticket
- Immediately go to the police station indicated on the sticker.
- Follow the prescribed procedures and pay the fine.
- Please return the rented car after processing the violation.
Please provide documents and the receipt, etc. you received at the police station when returning the rented car. If we cannot confirm payment of the fine, we will ask you to deposit with us the following amount.
- Regular cars ¥25,000
- Medium-sized or larger cars ¥30,000
In this case, when you have paid the fine after returning the car and provided us with such documents as the traffic violation notice, the statement of payment and acknowledgment of receipt with a receipt stamp, we will return the whole amount you deposited with us.
If you have not followed the procedures after a violation
If you do not follow the violation process before returning the rented car, we will ask you to pay the parking violation charge specified by us. If you fail to comply with the violation process and payment of the violation charge, we will report the matter to the police, the public safety commission, and All Japan Rent-a-car Association. Please note that you will be refused a rental car in the future from companies who are affiliated with the All Japan Rent-a-car Association.
We will return the parking violation charge deposited with us after you go to the police, pay the fine and provide us with such documents as the traffic violation notice, statement of payment and acknowledgment of receipt with a receipt stamp in accordance with the designated methods.
